This project was started in the year 1986. A survey conducted in the slums by BECC revealed the fact that, parents with small children are unable to go to work and earn their livelihood as they have no one to take care of their young ones. In this situation some parents make the eldest child in the family to look after his/her siblings to be free to go to work. The crèche therefore is the dual solution which enables the parents to go to work and also the eldest child to go to school.

Another objective of the crèche is to benefit the children under our care hygienically by providing them with clean, nutritious food during the day.
