Senior Citizens have been dislodged in the nuclear family. They are left to fend for themselves. Their children consider them a liability. BECC brings them together twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday when they relax in each other's company, sharing their joys and sorrows. About 150 people in the age group of 55 to 60 belong to this group and attend the meetings regularly. Health issues, rights of senior citizens and other related matters are discussed and they are made to feel they belong here. BECC staff visits their homes and spend time with them. |
