| Bandra East Community Centre (BECC),is
a registered voluntary organization(NGO)founded by the Norbertine Fathers in the
year 1974. It has
played a vital and multi-faceted role in the community and has made a
significant difference to the lives of the underprivileged, the marginalized and
the downtrodden. Through dynamic and innovative initiatives and projects,
the organization has played an important role in improving the lives of several
street children in the community, senior citizens and the local community by
addressing and meeting their physical, emotional, educational and social needs.
The rehabilitation of the slum, now called the Siddharth Colony is the first
major project undertaken by the BECC.
The organization works for the socio-economic development of the slum and
pavement dwellers and renders its services, irrespective of caste, creed and
religion with the sole objective of upliftment of the marginalized, the
underprivileged, the downtrodden and the neglected in the society, who grapple
with the insecurities of life. |

To build a community based on values of Love,
Justice, Equality & Peace. |
| | | | |
To spread hope, compassion
and reassure the marginalized, the downtrodden and the disadvantaged that we
are all born equal and are God’s own children, created in His image and for
His kingdom, where none will be left hungry, naked or without shelter. |
| | As we learn and improve
through our experiences, we look up to new projects that are in line with our
goals and vision. Some of these include creating infrastructure to accommodate
more street children, improve the facilities of shelter, kitchen, dining hall
and class rooms.

We touch people’s lives everyday and provide
them the opportunities to improve their lives. As we move along, we remain
committed to our mission to enrich lives and empower people.
 We
sincerely appeal to our sponsors and well-wishers to support the BECC as it
continues to champion the cause of development of the society. Your
contributions and support help us to mitigate hardships and sorrows of the
fortunate. We look forward to your support and good wishes.
