The
BECC’s Micro Finance initiative started in 2007 as aimed to enable small savings
and to help people earn thier livelihood by starting small business by giving
them monetary help.
The initiative is
basically a poverty alleviation endeavor to help people in the community to
establish entrepreneurship in a sustainable manner. Around 30 families
from the slums have availed of this facility and started small business like
selling of vegetables/fruits/flowers, selling of fish, grocery items etc. and
have benefited greatly from this project.
